視覚特別支援学校の特徴と中途視覚障害者の社会復帰に重要となる要素に関するアンケート調査の分析を遂行し、結果に基づいた学会発表と誌上発表を進めた。具体的には、学校の特徴として使用した「人と人とのつながり」を意味するソーシャル・キャピタルと、「困難事象からの回復と成長」を意味するPosttraumatic Growthとの関係については、日本特殊教育学会第60回大会にて演題発表（ポスター形式）を行い、フューチャーリサーチアワードを受賞した。本受賞については、特殊教育学会ニュースレターにて受賞のコメントが掲載された。さらに、ここで発表した内容を基に、国際誌「Education Sciences」へ原著論文を投稿したところ、2023年2月17日付で受理、2月28日付でオンライン公開となった。また、ソーシャル・キャピタルとコミュニケーションスキルとの関係については、第49回日本職業リハビリテーション学術大会にて口頭発表し、その後同学会誌にて論文投稿を行い、現在審査中となっている。アンケート調査に続いて開始したインタビュー調査においては、すべてのデータ収集を終え、分析に使用する基礎理論とモデルの枠組みを検討した。現在は、テキスト化されたインタビューデータを分析中である。海外研究交流に関しては、2023年7月に開催される視覚障害に関する国際会議であるVISION 2023において、視覚障害者の心理的変容に関する演題をエントリーし、採択が決定した。なお、昨年度実施した視覚特別支援学校が中途視覚障害者を対象に展開している取組に関する文献研究について、雑誌「弱視教育」に原著論文の入稿を行った。また、この文献研究と関連する研究が共著論文として国際誌「British Journal of Visual Impairment」に投稿され、受理および公開に至った。
