项目摘要

本研究は明治期和歌の性格をその表現の特徴から考え、史的に位置づけることを目指すものである。とりわけ新派の代表的歌人である与謝野鉄幹に注目し、同時代の歌人の動向や社会状況、古典文学世界との比較によって論じる。当該年度は主として次の３点の成果が得られた。（１）鉄幹の第一詩歌集『東西南北』（明治２９）に「歌」という語が頻出することに注目し、この語が古歌にはほぼ出現しないこと、近世歌人、とりわけ父・礼厳の友人であった橘曙覧の用法と類似することを明らかにし、幕末期の表現との連続を指摘するとともに、この表現が明治３０年代の新派和歌にも接続することを検証した。この成果は「鉄幹に対する曙覧の影響」（筑波大学日本語日本文学会第四五回大会、zoom、２０２２年１０月）として発表した。（２）鉄幹やその妻・晶子の和歌で用いられている「血汐」という語が明治期における新体詩でも広く用いられていることに注目し、同時代の用例を博捜した上で、「歌語」の規範性の脱落という観点から、新体詩の語彙が和歌に転用されていくプロセスの一端を検証した。同時に明治２０年代においてこの語の用法が変容していくことを、日清戦争後の詩歌の状況を踏まえて分析した。この成果は「明治期詩歌における「血汐」：新派和歌が受容した新体詩の語彙」（筑波大学日本文学会月例会、Teams、２０２２年１２月）として発表した。（３）鉄幹ら落合直文の門下生の回想に、明治２３年頃から直文が主導した新国文運動に関する言及がいちじるしく徴せられることに注目し、新国文運動と新派和歌との関係を検討した。特に新国文運動期の直文の評論や文典にみられる文法知識と同時期の鉄幹の論・作における文法理解の対応を分析した。この成果は「鉄幹と新国文運動」（『稿本近代文学』第４６集、２０２３年３月）として発表した。

(2) Tiegan's wife, crystal son's and song's use of "blood xi" and "middle language" in Meiji period, new style poetry's use of "blood xi" and "middle language" in Meiji period, contemporary use of "song language" in Bo search, normative shedding of "song language" and new style poetry's use of "blood xi" and "middle language" in Meiji period. At the same time, the usage of poetry in the Meiji 20s changed and the situation of poetry after the Japanese war was analyzed. The result of this is "Meiji period poetry": New style and song "(Tsukuba University Japanese Literature Association monthly meeting, Teams, December 2022). (3) A review of the relationship between Tetsukan and Naoto, the dominant new Chinese culture movement, and the new school and song since Meiji 23. In particular, the commentary on the Chinese text in the period of the New Chinese Movement and the analysis of the grammatical knowledge in the period of the New Chinese Movement The results of this work are "Iron Gan and New Chinese Literature Movement"("Draft Modern Literature" Volume 46, March 2023).
