项目摘要

近・現代語における「モ」はまさしく合説の助詞である。そのような理解から古代語の助詞モもまた理解されてきたが、とくに上代(＝飛鳥・奈良時代)における助詞モには合説性からは説明しがたい用法が少なからず確認される。このような問題意識から、本研究では、[A]上代における助詞モの機能の究明、および、[B]助詞モの機能の変遷の解明を2つの軸として企図している。〔2022年度の研究実績〕2022年度は、上記2つの軸の両者を検討した。具体的には、[A]の側面からは、(1)希望表現と共起する助詞モに関する検討、および、(2)「ダニ」に下接する助詞モに関する検討に取り組み、[B]の側面からは、(3)上代・中古における複合係助詞の変遷に関する検討、および、(4)中世末期抄物資料の翻刻に取り組んだ。(1)については、上代における希望表現と助詞モの共起関係に着目して、助詞モは実現可能性の低い事態を提示する希望表現と顕著に共起し、その機能が非合説由来であることを明らかにした。この研究成果は、『萬葉』235号においてすでに公開されている。(2)については、「ダニモ」という表現を分析して、副助詞と否定のスコープをふまえることで、〈最小限度＋詠嘆〉から〈最小限度〉への転換が生じたことを指摘した。この研究成果は、『日本語学論集』19号においてすでに公開されている。(3)については、上代・中古における係助詞の相互承接について分析した結果、係助詞に3種が認められる可能性を指摘した。この研究成果は、令和4年度東京大学国語研究室会にてすでに発表済みである。(4)については、昨年度までに引き続き、中世日本語の口語資料として、質的量的にきわめて重要な価値を有する『玉塵抄』の翻刻をおこなった。この研究成果は、『日本語学論集』19号においてすでに公開されている。
