项目摘要

本年度は新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響を受けながらも、延期されていた国際サガ学会への参加とアイスランドへの渡航調査が実施できた。特に国際サガ学会では、報告者の関心に近い多くの研究者と交流することができ、重要な示唆を多く受けた。ここで非公式に行った研究紹介を通じて、別の研究者とともに研究発表する機会を得ることもできた。また昨年度から着目しているIcelandic Saga Map(ISM)プロジェクトに関わる研究者とも国際サガ学会で知り合うことができた。この学会をきっかけに知り合った研究者の紹介を受けて、ISMのプロジェクトリーダーとも会う機会に恵まれた。本研究に関する紹介を行いつつ、本研究および中長期的なサガ研究において必要となる様々な機能や課題について議論を行った。またアイスランドへの現地渡航調査では、特にアイスランド国立／アイスランド大学図書館を中心にサガ研究に関わる現地資料にあたった。主にアイスランド語で記述されたサガ研究、とりわけサガの社会や人間関係形成に関する文献を中心に文献調査を行った。現地で開催されたアイスランド・サガに関するいくつかの研究シンポジウムにも参加した。本年度は奇しくもアイスランドで人文情報学（DH）研究の拠点形成が行われたため、サガ研究に関するDHの活用をテーマにしたシンポジウムが多く開かれた。国内では主にサガ研究と人文情報学研究を架橋するような研究についてサーベイを実施した。さらに次年度開かれる学会において人文情報学的研究に根差したサガの社会ネットワーク分析に関する発表を行うための研究と準備作業を実施した。今回の渡航調査成果の一部については日本アイスランド学会において発表したほか、東京大学人文情報学リサーチハブ主催のDHフェス2023でも発表した。日本アイスランド学会における発表成果については、同会の会報にも掲載される予定である。
