Study on Terminal Care for the Olds -Terminal care for the olds which the olds and their families want, the Present conditions assistance at hoapital and family particilpation program-

通过对老年人临终关怀的调查，了解奥尔兹及其家属对临终关怀的需求，以及医院临终护理人员对老年人临终关怀的现状.当奥尔兹身体健康时，只有不到一半的人与配偶谈论死亡，三分之一的人与孩子谈论死亡。然而，对他们死亡的准备比谈话要低。当奥尔兹住进医院时，15%的人会告诉他们想在哪里和如何死去。在奥尔兹在自己家中去世的家庭中，希望在家中照顾老人的家庭比例较高。家人都希望奥尔兹能自然地死去，完全地平静。他们想要提供的援助也被剥夺。医院护士对临终奥尔兹的帮助主要集中在物质上，精神上的帮助或对家庭的帮助较少.熟悉的人护理的经验占70%。60%的人认为它是被完全护理的。至于照顾它，不满是下面这一点。至于它，它是在这种情况下，如医生和护士的通信，它不能照顾到它完全没有添加到人的意图。从以上，得出结论，奥尔兹应该准备他们的死亡从他们健康的时候，并通过交谈与家人分享。而医护人员应重视老年人临终关怀的需求，促进家属积极开展情感关怀，与家属共同进行临终关怀，为奥尔兹及其家属提供理想的临终关怀。

The followings were disclosed in the study on the terminal care for the olds which the olds and their families want to recieve and the present conditions of assistance made by nurses at the terminal stages at hospitals.1. When the olds are healthy, less than a half of them talk about their death with their spouses, and a third of them with their children. However preparations for their death represent lower than conversation.2. When the olds are admitted to hospitals, 15% of them tell where and how they want to die. And among the families when the olds want to die in their own houses, the parcentage of the families who want to care them at home is higher. Families hope the olds die naturally and peace fully. Assistance which they want to render is also extracted.3. Assistance which nurses give to the olds at terminal stages at hospitals is centerd on physical one, and spiritual assistance or assistance to their families is less.4. The experience of nursing a familiar person was in 70%. It was 60% that it was fully nursed. As for nursing it, discontent was the following point. As for it, it was in such cases as doctor's and nurse's correspomdence that it couldn't care for it fully as for not adding it to the person's intention.From the above, it is concluded that the olds should prepare for their death from the time they are healthy, and share with their families through conversation. While those who are involved in medical care should lisen to their requests, promote their families to take an active pertain emotional care and care them at terminal stages with their families, for ideal terminal care for the olds and their families.
