项目摘要

本年度、『証券アナリストジャーナル』に掲載された「FX投資家の個人特性と投資パフォーマンス―アンケート調査と取引データによる分析―」は、FX証拠金取引における個人投資家の認知能力、非認知能力、行動バイアスといった特性と投資パフォーマンスの関係について、アンケート調査と売買履歴を記録した取引データを投資家ごとに紐づけて分析した研究である。個人投資家の特性は取引データからは観察されないので、アンケート調査が有効である。しかし、過去の投資パフォーマンスなど客観的な項目を問う質問では、事実と異なる回答が含まれている可能性が高い。そこで、客観的な項目については投資家の売買履歴を記録している取引データから取得することが望ましい。そこで、アンケート調査の回答者の取引データ使用の許諾を得た上で、両データを投資家ごとに紐づけながら、投資家の個人特性と投資パフォーマンスの関係を分析した。本稿では、①認知能力（金融リテラシー，FX専門知識，認知反射テスト）、②非認知能力（ビッグファイブ性格診断）、③行動バイアス（他人に対する自信過剰と将来パフォーマンスに対する自信過剰）をアンケート調査から把握し、取引回数、レバレッジ、取引通貨数と投資収益率を取引データから計測した。投資パフォーマンスに対して最も影響している個人特性は、他人に対する自信過剰であり、投資パフォーマンスの低下効果が大きいことを発見した。自信過剰な投資家は取引回数が多く、レバレッジが高く、取引通貨数も多い。ただし、投資パフォーマンスの悪化を招いているのは既存研究が指摘するような取引回数の多さではなく、レバレッジが高いことと取引通貨数が多いことである。また、金融リテラシーやFX専門知識といった認知能力が高い投資は相対的にレバレッジが低く、投資パフォーマンスが良いことも明らかになった。
