研究をすすめるにあたり、教科書データの利用許諾取得がまず必要である。そして、教科書デジタルデータを取得（テキストデータ入手、テキスト入力）をした後、データの前処理を経て、形態素解析処理等を行い、コーパスデータの構築を行うことが必要である。2022（R4）年度は、研究計画のうち、中学校社会科教科書のうち、教科書データの提供が可能なものを調査するために、中学校社会科教科書を刊行している教科書出版社各社に書面で問い合わせをした。依頼をしたのは以下の通りである。東京書籍：新しい社会地理・新しい社会歴史・新しい社会公民、教育出版：中学社会地理・ 中学社会歴史・中学社会公民、帝国書院：中学生の地理・中学生の歴史・中学生の公民山川出版社：中学歴史・日本と世界、日本文教出版：中学校社会地理・中学校社会歴史・中学校社会公民、自由社：新しい歴史教科書・新しい公民教科書、育鵬社：新しい日本の歴史 新しいみんなの公民、学び舎：ともに学ぶ人間の歴史。その後、教科書データを教科書コーパスデータに加工することについて許可が出た教科書会社より、中学校社会科教科書の文字データを購入し、それらのデータを教科書コーパスデータに加工するために、ディジタルアシスト社にコーパスデータ化を依頼している。教科書コーパスデータの作成にあたり、データ取得、前処理が完了するのは、2023年5月の予定である。
