Research on originality and commonness of Chinese character culture of East Asia stood in aspect of international information interchange

1) When we exchange information during Chinese and Japanese or Japanese and Korean, it's impossible to translate the name of person or places. In this research, we investigated the Chinese character used for the proper noun which was not able to be expressed between Japanese and Korean or between Japanese and Chinese.2) We investigated the kind and the number of Chinese characters in the documents which included political speeches, the textbooks of the junior high school, newspapers, and the name of person and places written in Japanese and Chinese. We found the kind of the Chinese character which had been used in Japanese were 4,710 and in Chinese were 6,593 characters. In Japanese, only the three-quarter of Chinese characters included in JIS Kanji Chinese character code set is used. In Chinese, the kind of the Chinese character actually used is almost equal to the number of Chinese characters defined in the GB Chinese character code set. The content of JIS Kanji Chinese character code set should be reexamined.3) The kind of Chinese character needed for the cover of 99.9% of Japanese of the entire Kanji Chinese character is about 2,800 characters. In Chinese, it's needed about 4,700 characters. But, the kind of Chinese character needed for the cover of 99.9% of both Japanese and Chinese is about 4,700 characters.4) We investigated the realities of the Chinese character of the textbooks used in the junior high school in Japan and China. The result is useful for the Chinese character education by the school education and teaching to the foreigner.5) The Chinese character is a common character of east Asia, and it is not the one which exists independently in Japan, China, and Korea. The realities of the Chinese character should be investigated jointly in Japanese and Chinese and Korean in the future.
