本研究の目的は，マラソン中のランナー個々の一歩一歩に掛かる着地時の衝撃力，マラソン走破したときのその総和とマラソン誘発性筋損傷との関連性を明らかにすることである．2023年度，24年度に実際のマラソン大会（つくばマラソン）に参加する方を対象として，マラソン中の衝撃力と血液筋損傷マーカー等を測定する計画である．そこで得られたマラソン中の衝撃力の総和と血液筋損傷マーカーとの関連性を検討する．ヒトを対象とする研究であるため，研究倫理委員会への申請をする必要があった．そこで，22年度では，まず本学において，倫理委員会の審査を受け，研究実施の許可を得た．更に，多機関共同研究に該当することから，共同研究先である筑波大学から研究実施の許可を得た．ランニング中の衝撃力の測定方法の確立するために，当初モーションセンサーを計画していた．モーションセンサーは衝撃力の推定値を算出しているのに対して，インソール型計測器は実際の衝撃力が測定可能であるこから，インソール型計測器を導入することとした．しかしながら，インソール型測定器は，記録を狙うランナーや長時間走行するランナーに装着して走行することが困難であると考えられる．更に，被験者の足のサイズに応じて測定器を準備する必要がある．したがって，マラソンに参加する前にマラソンで想定される速度等で走行してもらった場合の衝撃力を得ておく必要があり，23年度にこれを実施する計画である．
