2022年度は、2020年度に訂された、文科省小学校新学習指導要領「体育科」水泳領域の高学年に明示された、溺水予防を目的とした「安全確保につながる運動」の代表的泳法である「背浮き」の技術指導をプールで指導後に、背浮きのポイントをはじめとした水辺安全に関連する知識の理解度を確認するために、クイズ形式の10問程度のタブレット端末によるクイズを開発した。これは2019年度に文科省が打ち出したGIGAスクール構想に関連づけて、溺死予防を目的とした安全教育教材開発である。本教材は、低学年・中学年・高学年の3種類があり、各質問ごとの回答は2～３の回答欄から択一式で選択回答する形式となっている。そして、全回答を行うと、各問題の正誤判定及び正解率が自動的に表示され、問題及び正解に関する解説も表示され、全問正解の場合は「水の安全アドバイザー」の認定書が自動的に表示印刷される教材である。なお、今年度は全国的にコロナ感染予防の影響で多くの小学校でプール授業が実施されなかったこともあり、いくつかの小学校で試行的に実施した。その結果、全国の小学校で普及している背浮きプログラムである「ういてまて教室」の事後振り返りとして、水辺安全知識の定着化に繋がることが期待された。そして、問題の正解率が低い問題は指導内容が十分ではないことが考察され、指導内容の再考にもつながる教材にもなりうると感じた。また、各問題の正解率から質問および解答の文言に対し、修正蔵得る必要性も示唆された。
