当初設定した研究課題について、大幅な変更を余儀なくされた。修正後の令和4年度の成果は以下の通りである。②戦後の合気道の普及に際し、どのように独自性が主張されたのか。戦後の合気道の発展の一方向である競技スポーツ化をテーマに、研究協力者の第二発表者として日本武道学会第55回大会で発表した。日本国内の武道論研究者から寄贈された図書史料について保存作業を行なった。関西地方において合気道研究者との情報交換を行なった。その結果、後述する藤田西湖文庫の存在を知ることができた。⑥戦後の武道界における古武道保存の取り組み。東京都在住の古流柔術の指導者、神奈川県在住の武道研究者に聞き取り調査を実施した。研究補助者を雇用し、資料の保存作業を実施した。全体にかかわる内容として、藤田西湖文庫（神奈川県小田原市）での資料収集を実施した。研究課題①昭和戦前期までの日本における大東流の普及過程、に関わる重要な史料の他、数多くの史料を収集することができた。その他、今後の研究の更なる進展可能性を探るために、刑事保護の専門家との知識供与を依頼した。現代における武道（競技スポーツも含む）の社会的意義として、青少年の教育・更生が挙げられるが、今回の知識供与によりその観点が刑事保護の観点からも重要であることが明らかになった。
