本研究は、心的外傷を受けたプレホスピタルケアに従事する看護師を対象に「心的外傷の内容」「ストレス反応」「PTSD発症のリスクの有無」「心的外傷によるストレス反応への対処」の関連性を明らかにすることを目的として、量的研究と質的研究を合わせた混合研究法計画している。2021年度は、対象者の選定と量的研究に必要な自記式質問紙の作成を行った。本研究は、質問紙調査への回答やインタビューによって身体的および精神的に強いストレスを受けた出来事（心的外傷）を想起するため、対象者が不調をきたす可能性がある。そのため、精神医学を専門とする医師1名と臨床心理士1名の助言を受け、対象者の選定について検討した。量的研究による自記式質問紙調査を開始する前に調査対象施設のメンタルヘルス体制について調査し、メンタルヘルスケア体制が整備されていない施設は対象施設から除外することとした。現在、各施設にメンタルヘルス体制に関する調査票を配布し、対象施設の選択を行っている。また、自記式質問紙の作成にあたり、身体的および精神的に強いストレスを受けた出来事（心的外傷）の内容を選択方式で回答できるよう、その内容を先行研究をもとに検討し、救急・重症患者専門看護師1名と救急看護認定看護師2名、プレホスピタルケア経験年数10年以上の看護師1名の助言を受け、選択項目を作成した。今後は、各施設のメンタルヘルス体制に関する調査の結果により対象施設を選択し、自記式質問紙調査を開始する予定である。
