2025年には我が国は大介護時代を迎えるといわれ、高齢となった親の介護を担う労働者への支援が喫緊の課題となっている。本研究は中で労働者の親介護に焦点をあて、必要な情報を収集し、理解・判断に基づき、対応できる能力の育成を目指した教育プログラムを開発することである。2022年度は以下（１）～（3）を行い、成果を得た。（１）老親介護に携わる労働者において、特に多岐にわたる支援ニーズが生じる認知症に焦点を当て、国内外における認知症に関連した成人教育の現状、制度や課題に関する基礎資料、文献を検索・収集を行い、認知症を持つ老親の介護について必要となる情報やその理解、利活用を促す支援制度についての既知研をまとめた。その結果、認知症に関する意識向上、啓発等を主たる目的とした一般住民を対象とした情報提供、支援および教育プログラムを提供する取り組みが確認された。一方で介護者の自己実現、生活の維持向上などを目的に含め、その準備性を高めるための教育的アプローチの知見は多くなく、その必要性について示唆が得られた。（2）国内外における認知症についての成人教育に関する文献を検索・収集し、目的、内容、教育方法についての整理を行った。教育・訓練全般、医療系大学生を対象とした教育プログラムのレビュー文献等を含む資料より、症状・特性に関する知識獲得、支援者としての態度・能力形成等が目的となっており、また内容や方法としてVRやオンライン等アクセスしやすい教育ツールを用いていることが確認できた。（3）（１）、(2)の結果を踏まえ、本研究の具体的な計画の再確認および計画実施に向けての調査等内容の吟味や機関内手続きに向けての準備を行った。また、課題の対象である介護経験を持つ労働者らと研究テーマに関する協議を行い、研究体制の構築を進めた。
