项目摘要

最大の成果として、2015年11月7日に青山学院大学青山キャンパスにてシンポジウムを開催したことがあげられる。韓国、中国からも研究者を招き、有意義な研究会となった。近年、東アジアをめぐる論考が盛んになっているように感じる。そこではまさに東アジアにおける日本の視座が問われているのであり、文学や史学といった学問領域、中世、近世、近代などの時代領域、作品ジャンルを横断した資料の比較検討から、日本を描く歴史叙述の再検討が求められている。そこで「異域」をめぐる諸相の解明という視点から日本を捉えなおしていこうと考えた。異国や異界といった世界や境界を越えた世界を包括した「異域」と、異国合戦、侵略や国防をテーマに、文学研究を通して、東アジアにおける「日本」像を、いかに明らかにできるかをテーマにした。海を越えた異国の神話や歴史叙述から「日本」を相対化する必要性を見いだすとともに、日本を始め、琉球、対馬、朝鮮、蝦夷、天竺、ベトナムといった漢字漢文文化圏の諸資料を対象化することの意味づけ行っていき、広い立場から考証することができた。このシンポジウムは、「日本から見た異域、異域を通して見た日本」の解明を主目的とし、現代日本が抱える問題を古典文学研究を通して、現代の問題につなげて考える起因になった。海外での研究発表も行うことができた。第73次琉球（沖縄）と朝鮮（韓国）の文化交流600年学術大会（2015年8月7日、於韓国国立外交院）、北京日本学研究センター設立30周年記念国際シンポジウム「アジアにおける日本研究の可能性」主題別フォーラム「文学に表象された戦争」（2015年10月25日、於北京日本学研究センター）への参加、研究発表を通して、異国合戦をめぐる物語研究が、日本のみならず、東アジアを視野に入れなければならないことを問題提起した。
