项目摘要

平成26年度（PD採用第2年度目）においては、研究課題「朝鮮通信使迎送体制と対馬藩宗家」の遂行のため、前年度収集済みの対馬藩主の役割に関する『朝鮮通信使記録』ならびに博士論文の成果の一部をもとに、韓国国際学術大会での口頭発表（韓国語）に重点を置き研究を進めた。報告者は韓国京畿大学校（京畿道水原市）主催の同校博物館特別展“圖路”記念国際学術大会『韓･中･日古道路の人文学的再照明』に招聘され「日本における朝鮮通信使迎接と道路」という題目で、日本での朝鮮通信使研究の成果を発表する機会を得た。同発表では近世日本に来訪した全12回の通信使のうち、初回の第5回までに焦点を絞り、約30か所の陸路接待地（宿泊地・昼休地）を分析・整理した。その結果、使節接待地が第3回以降に固定化されたことを実証、徳川幕府の宿駅制度の確立時期と通信使の陸路接待地の定着時期とが重なっていることを明らかにした。加えて江戸往来道中、対馬藩宗家が通信使護行のため旅程をともにし、同じ接待地で宿泊・昼休をとったことを紹介、史料の豊富な延享5年（1748）の事例から通信使宿舎・藩主本陣を確認し（「海陸朝鮮人宿附」『延享信使記録』など）、宿駅施設（本陣・脇本陣）のほか城下町で、大人数を収容する寺院が多用されていたことも指摘した。発表内容は主催校趙炳魯氏の退官記念論集に寄稿する予定である。また同大会は、朝鮮側史料の本格的活用や歴史地理学の立場からの通信使移動の比較事例にも触れられ、新たな史料・手法による研究の可能性を見出すことのできる貴重な機会であった。そのほか高月観音の里歴史民俗資料館、一宮市立尾西歴史民俗資料館でも31点（965丁、1巻、40枚）の通信使や雨森芳洲、対馬藩関連史料を収集した。今後これらをもとに、対馬藩家臣団の編成や宝暦期対馬藩の請負人馬について分析・検討を継続していきたい。
