项目摘要

本年度は，「ユーザの行動モデルに基づく検索意図推定」に関する研究の遂行にあたって，以下の2つの課題に取り組んだ．（1）検索情報の不一致が検索行動と満足度に与える影響の分析従来の情報検索に関する研究では，「適合文書を上位にランキングすることが検索システムの有効性の向上につながる」と考えられ，この仮定に基づいたランキング手法や評価指標が提案されてきた．しかし，それぞれの検索結果に異なる答えが含まれる場合は，かえってユーザの不満につながるおそれがある．本研究では，検索情報の不一致がユーザの検索行動および満足度に与える影響を調査した．具体的には，ユーザの検索システムに対する専門知識の有無に着目し，事実発見型タスクの中でも答えが複数存在するものを対象として，ユーザの検索ログの分析を行った．その結果，検索専門性の有無によって，検索行動や満足度の評価基準が大きく異なることが判明した．（2）情報の網羅的な収集を支援するための検索インタフェースの開発現状の検索システムを用いてトピックに関する重要な情報を網羅的に収集する場合，多様な観点を探索するためのクエリの作成や検索を終了すべきタイミングの判断が難しいという問題が存在する．本研究では，こうした網羅的情報収集タスクにおける未探索の観点の発見や適切な検索終了判断の支援を目的として，未閲覧情報量を提示するクエリ推薦インタフェースを提案した．我々は，各クエリに対する未閲覧情報量をその検索結果中の未閲覧文書集合からユーザが獲得可能な追加利得として定式化し，サブトピックマイニング手法を利用することでその値の推定を実現した．ユーザ実験を実施した結果，提案インタフェースの利用者は，未閲覧情報量の推定精度が高いトピックにおいて，情報の網羅的な収集を効率的に行えることが確認された．
