项目摘要

平成26年度における主な研究実績は、(a)前年度研究成果の発信と(b)企業組織内の「距離」にまつわる理論研究の立ち上げの2点である。(a)について：前年度の成果である、企業の境界の3つの既存アプローチ(property-rights theory、incentive-system theory、adaptation theory)を統合する理論研究をInternational Society for New Institutional Economics 2014、Econometric Society Australasian Meeting、Econometric Society European Meetingにて報告した。(b)について：企業組織内外の協業(コラボレーション)を促進する最適な「距離」を理論的に分析した。ここで「距離」とは、単に組織・人員間の物理的距離のみならず、それらの間のコミュニケーションを妨げうる非物理的な障害(例えば、特定の部局における専門言語の利用、各人員が携わる事業の関連度)も含む。一見すると、協業の促進という目的にとって、関連する組織・人員間の「距離」は極力近い方が良いように思われる。しかしながら、本研究によって、協業が十分重要である場合、「距離」を最小化することは却って協業に必要不可欠な情報共有を妨げる結果になりうることが明らかになった。当該成果についてはweb上(Social Science Research Network)にてワーキングペーパーを公開中である。
