本年度は、昨年にひきつづきマルチアーカイヴァルな手法で史料調査を行い、その分析を通じて第二次世界大戦中から1950年代中頃までの西ヨーロッパにおけるキリスト教民主主義諸党によるトランスナショナル・ネットワークの全体像を明らかにすることを目的とした。史料調査として、スイス連邦文書館およびベルン州立文書館では、同ネットワークが構築された「ジュネーヴ・サークル」の下支えをした民間組織「キリスト教相互扶助」を中心とする史料を閲覧した。また、イギリス国立文書館およびLSE付属文書館ではCDU関連のドイツ史料と欧州政治共同体条約構想に関する史料を閲覧した。これらの分析を行った結果、キリスト教民主主義諸党のトランスナショナル・ネットワークを通じて「ヨーロッパ最初の憲法」と呼ばれる欧州政治共同体条約構想が欧州組織に受け継がれたこと、そこにおいて法学の専門知識を有するグループが重要な役割を果たしたことを明らかにできた。加えて、この条約構想に関しては、同時期に存在していたもう一つの国境を越えるネットワーク、すなわち西ヨーロッパとアメリカの間のトランスアトランティック・ネットワークとの競合関係が明らかになった。これらの研究成果は12月に福岡で開催された平成26年度九州史学会西洋史部会にて発表し、またその内容を現在査読付きの学術雑誌に投稿中である。
