项目摘要

動学的・静学的の両面から寡占均衡理論のモデル構築に取り組んだ。具体的には以下の二つのテーマを中心に研究を行った。1.企業間の競争促進が、垂直的特化による分業への影響を通じて、企業生産性・各主体の効用・総厚生に与える効果について分析を行った。2.動学的状況下で広告競争を行う場合を想定し、垂直的差別化の水準の拡大が企業利潤・消費者余剰・総厚生に与える影響についてそれぞれ分析を行った。1.の研究成果として、まずKamei(2014)がEconomics Lettersに掲載された。分業構造を伴った寡占的一般均衡理論の枠組みを利用することで、Kamei (2014)は、政府の競争促進政策が垂直的特化による分業を阻害することで、国内企業の生産性と集計された厚生水準を悪化させることを明らかにしている。さらに、分業を伴った企業間の競争促進によって、労働者の効用は改善するが、企業家の効用は悪化することが明らかになった。2.の研究においては、大阪大学の天龍洋平氏と共同研究を行い、研究成果として二本の論文をディスカッション・ペーパーとして公開した。一本目の論文は、Economics Bulletinに掲載されているTenryu and Kamei (2013)を基に、主に消費者の効用関数に注目し、企業の製品差別化の水準の影響が広告行動を通じて消費者余剰に与える影響を分析した。二本目の論文では、Tenryu and Kamei (2013)で仮定されていたすべての消費者に財が供給される市場（ full market coverage）を、一般化するために一部の消費者には財が供給されない市場（ partial market coverage）を仮定することで分析を行った。その他に、寡占企業行動が失業率に与える影響に関する研究と京都大学の佐々木啓明氏との共同研究である、貿易タイミングに関する研究からそれぞれ一本の論文をディスカッションペーパーとして報告した。
