Electric vehicles are great -- but they take time to charge up. A typical overnight charge takes 6-10 hours, whilst the very fastest state-of-the-art EV charges take between 30-45 minutes to complete. Our vision is to create a revolutionary electric vehicle battery that can charge from flat to full in just 6-minutes.The project will carry out a series of commercial and technical feasibility studies into the potential to put a battery into production in the UK that can be applied across multiple sectors and charged from flat to full in just 6 minutes, plus the charging system required in order to achieve these charge times.This will give the UK first-mover advantage on electric vehicle battery systems that can be charged in just 6-minutes, ensuring electric vehicles can be charged as quick as refuelling conventional vehicles.
