项目摘要

本研究では，価値観と嗜好の関連を明らかにし，それに基づくユーザモデルを作成および活用することで，ユーザが持つ価値判断に合致した推薦システムを実現した．本研究の学術的成果は以下に示す2点である．1. レビューを対象としたモデル作成手法の確立ユーザの意思決定における価値観が属性に対する「こだわり」の強さとして現れるという観点から，レビューを活用して価値観をモデリングする手法を確立した．提案手法では，モデリングの対象として，アイテムに対する評価をレビューとして投稿する「書き手」と，そのレビューを閲覧する「読み手」，それぞれの立場からモデルを作成する．書き手の立場からは投稿したレビューを，読み手の立場からはレビューの閲覧履歴を用いてユーザモデルを作成し，それがユーザの意思決定に安定して影響を与えていることなど，推薦システムに有効な特性を備えていることを示した．2. 価値観に基づくユーザモデルを適用した推薦システムの構築1に示した価値観に基づくユーザモデルを，代表的な手法である内容ベースフィルタリングおよび協調フィルタリングに適用した推薦システムを構築した．こだわりの強い属性はより少ない評価情報から特定可能という，提案ユーザモデルの利点を内容ベースフィルタリングに活用することで，新規ユーザに対して効果的な推薦が行えないというcold-start問題が改善されることを示した．また，協調フィルタリングへの活用においては，ホテルのレビューサイト4travelに投稿されたレビューを対象として評価実験を行った．こだわりのある属性が類似する近傍ユーザの計算に提案手法を利用することで，高評価あるいは低評価のアイテムに対する推薦精度が向上することを示した．
