项目摘要

イルカンダMucuna macrocarpa（マメ科）は東南アジアから日本にかけて広域分布している。本種は特殊な送粉様式を持ち、特定の送粉パートナーである「裂開者」を必要とし、裂開者がいなければ、他花受粉ができない。裂開者の地域変異を明らかにするために、26年度までに大分県蒲江、沖縄島、台湾北部において、訪花者とその行動の記録を行った。27年度は、当初の計画通り、台湾南部における訪花者に関する調査の実施と共に、誘引形質としての花蜜の質について大分県蒲江、沖縄島、台湾北部、台湾南部の間で比較した。また、当初の研究計画には含めていなかったが、調査準備が想定よりもスムーズに進行したため、Mucuna属の分布の中心であり、これまでに本種の主要な送粉パートナーであることが記録されている、オナガザル科、オオコウモリ科、リス科の動物が全て生息しているタイにおける訪花者の観察および誘引形質に関する調査を開始した。台湾南部における主要な送粉パートナーは、台湾北部と同様、クリハラリスであった。一方で、台湾北部では送粉パートナーとなっていなかったハクビシンが、台湾南部の一部の地域では送粉パートナーとなっていた。このことは、台湾における主要な送粉パートナーが、台湾内ではどの地域においてもクリハラリスであることを示唆している。一方、すべての地域において蜜量、蜜重量、糖度は日変化しておらず、糖構成比も常にスクロースが優占していた。大分県蒲江、沖縄島、台湾ではそれぞれ全く異なる分類群の動物が送粉パートナーになっているが、この花蜜の分泌パターンの結果は、本種が異なる送粉パートナーを有するにもかかわらず、誘引戦略をそれぞれの地域の送粉パートナーに合わせて変化させていないことを示唆している。タイにおける調査は開始したばかりであり、まだ、どのような動物が送粉パートナーとなっているかは明らかにできていない。
