There is a developing change in behaviours away from single use cups/bottles towards reusable cups/bottles. However, there are no solutions available for use in public, commercial areas or workplaces for the hygienic, fast, on-demand, and automated washing of a reusable cup/bottle.Some people hand-wash their cups/bottles, however, this is not as hygienic as an automated high-temperature washing device and shared washing facilities are not always hygienic. This method is manual and requires a significant amount of water to wash and paper towels to dry leading to another form of waste.Some people use a work dishwasher, but this requires waiting for the dishwasher to be fully loaded, a long washing cycle and then unloading. With work dishwashers people also fear they are going to lose personal cup/bottle.People do not want to carry a dirty coffee cup in the bottom of their handbag or rucksack until they find a sink and using the bathroom in a coffee shop is not a hygienic option.We want to make it easy for 'on-the-go' individuals to wash and reuse their reusable personal cups/bottles and in doing so promote further use of reusable cups/bottles. We want to produce an automated washing device for a single cup/bottle to provide a hygienic solution to wash, sanitise, rinse and dry these personal cups/bottles.
