This project is focused on delivering a step change in efficient, electrified small commercial marine vessels, scale demonstrated on an Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) application for operation within the domain of smart ports and harbours.The technical approach is delivered in two ways:* Development of a 50kWh electrified-powertrain, intelligently-optimised for efficiency in remote applications and placing system integrity and regulatory compliance at the core of the design process, driving system trust.* Development of mass reduced, form-optimised marine structures developed with generative design methodologies and manufactured using Big Area Additive Manufacture (BAAM).Alongside the development of novel technical processes, regulatory compliance is placed as a significant, ongoing focus of the project to ensure that project outputs can be commercialised and deployed at scale and at rapid pace, maximising the project impacts.
