Better magnets, with lower costs and higher performance, would lead to significant enhancements of key net-zero technologies such as wind turbines and electric cars, leading to accelerated adoption and faster progress towards net-zero targets. This project will demonstrate the ability to identify new high-strength magnet materials with lower costs and improved sustainability. New compositions would offer significant commercial advantages and strengthen existing efforts to develop new opportunities to diversify value-chains.
