Orbital Bloom is a smart artwork that helps transform buildings into sustainable ecosystems. It is a virtual garden that grows and thrives as buildings green. We combine the creativity of the arts with the accuracy of data capture to make sustainability accessible, transparent, and emotionally engaging to wide audiences.To tackle the climate crises and green the built environment requires public engagement with the energy infrastructures of buildings, workplaces, and homes. Orbital Bloom gives individuals and communities new tools to understand their impact on the environment as well as build sustainable futures.Orbital Bloom is a smart artwork designed with principles of ethical automation. It is a symbiotic ecology between the human built environment and the digital environment. It is a creative and accessible interface for energy information systems. It reflects individual, social, and industrial transitions needed for sustainability to become reality.Orbital Bloom can be displayed on screens in physical spaces or on digital devices. It is a bespoke artwork and a SaaS product. We invite audiences to visit our virtual garden and imagine what future communities and cities could be like if we take positive climate action now, one building and one virtual bloom at a time.
