英文摘要
This purpose-filled project will capitalise on a major commercial opportunity and launch the UK's very first collection of vegan-friendly, plant and recycled-material-based women's trainers. The ground-breaking range will appeal to environmentally conscious women, seeking products that combine purpose with a passion for the planet's protection.Pioneering the introduction of materials such as innovative cacti leather, and soles formed from recycled wine corks and recycled coffee grounds, the project will develop footwear, for both the UK and global market, that encourages women, from a wide demographic, to live more wholesome, sustainable lifestyles. It will contribute to the fashion industry's circular model and help mitigate climate change. Women will be provided with a choice of stylish vegan footwear, considerately designed for 21st century lifestyles and principles. The range will better-use world resources, by supporting developing countries' raw material producers. Using only vegan, plant-based leathers, it will also avoid emissions associated with traditional leather production and support the natural carbon sinks that cacti represent. The exciting, fully recyclable vegan footwear will help women tread lighter, in terms of environmental impact and allow Cocorose London to build on its current sustainability programme, whilst championing new consumer behaviours, expanding employment opportunities and boosting UK exports.
