Diffusion coatings are applied to metals to protect against wear or metal degradation at high temperatures and within corrosive environments. The efficacy of diffusion coatings is well established in the power generation, aerospace and process industries. More recently such coatings have been validated as highly effective solutions in renewable and cleantech applications. Penetration into these industries is being held back by the capital intensive and energy intensive nature of the diffusion coating process.Diffusion Alloys has developed a processing method for the production of diffusion coatings which will change the current state of the art to low energy and low capital intensity which will meet the needs of the investment in and rapid growth of the supply chain for renewable and clean technologies. The Company will drive the systems development from its head office and processing facility in Middlesbrough and export processed components and turnkey processing systems around the world.
