This disruption statement outlines the specific COVID-19 pandemic-related interruptions to the conduct of Dr. Johnson's research program over the past fifteen months. Dr. Johnson experienced a 12-week clinical research interruption because of COVID-19. The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine suspended all clinical research without a potential direct impact on patient quantity of life (all observational clinical studies) in March 2020. Non- essential research operations began in phases at limited capacity after Office of Research Services approval in June 2020 — Dr. Johnson's resumed on-campus research operations in September 2020. The university suspended all hiring in March 2020. The University of Pennsylvania Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Program provides part-time clinical research coordinator support to Dr. Johnson.
