Delivering software of the utmost quality to our customers is our top priority and fundamental to our business. It is crucial for our software to have all the required new features and more importantly, it should not disrupt or cause any issues with the existing functionality. Even small changes, like moving a button on the screen can be considered a critical bug in a live environment.Our problem is straightforward: how can we be 100% sure that adding new functionality to a software product does not have any negative impact on existing functionality?Our limitation is that we are unable to accurately communicate the specific changes between system versions to the development team due to a lack of in- house skills.Our engagement with STFC Hartree Centre, who are experts at research and development into image recognition, will allow us to incorporate this into our testing platform and in return enable us to develop it to be utilised within our in-house testing and, once confirmed, enable us to build this into a commercial product to be used by other software houses for de-skilled visual testing.
