The project will develop low power mesh networks for deployment in Net Zero extreme environments. The project will deploy sensors on hydraulic foundations supports, monitor and share data using the network. As building sites shift toward Net Zero there is a requirement to move the supports away from petrol to battery power generators. As a result pressure and battery performance has to be monitored in real time using wireless technology. As most of these supports are below ground specific networks are required that can run on stand alone power.The project will create a test bed environment, deploy the sensors and the network. Attention will be given to network performance and battery power requirements. A end result will be a complete system that change the industry moving from petrol to safe battery generation of power for critical support.
