Zenotech Ltd creates and delivers high-performance computing simulation software for civil, renewable energy and automotive engineering. Advances in cloud computing can reduce the capital and up-front expense in using large-scale computing – especially for smaller companies – with a pay-as-you-go on-demand model. Simulation software generates big data – from gigabytes to petabytes – so the aim is to efficiently and effectively render the raw data in the cloud – and send back only the information that is needed. The key is to determine what this information is, and how best to provide it to the user – with consideration of their role, culture, mode of access, industrial sector and stated requirement. This project brings together Zenotech Ltd and creative design specialist Drop Dead Design for the first time. We will develop a series of prototype data rendering designs through a process of elicitation, development and playback with end users in each of the civil, renewable energy and automotive sectors. If successful, this will lead to further development of the prototypes designs via existing services and a new product line from Zenotech Ltd.
