Oxford Impedance Diagnostics - operationalising a disruptive Point of Care platform

We are developing a point of care (POC) diagnostic device that can perform most of the tests a conventional laboratory does, but in a hand held device that can sit on a GPs desk. Not only small, the device will also be cheap, accurate, and comprehensive (as it can test for a huge range of conditions). With such a device, doctors could diagnose patients live, rather than sending off a sample to a lab, dramatically reducing the cost of diagnostic testing across the NHS, and significantly improving patient outcomes and health through earlier diagnosis. Our company has been developing this device based off of research from the University of Oxford. We have already proven the principle of this device in our research laboratory, including against key markers like insulin, Zika, and cardiac markers CRP and Troponin. We are now operationalising the technology, with the ultimate goal of producing a commercial product.
