"Multi-material injection molding (MMM) is the process of molding two or more different materials into one plastic part at one time. Multi material injection molding uses materials that are at or near their melting point so that the semi-liquidous (viscous) material can fill voids and cavities within a pre-machined mold, thus taking on the desired shape of designed tooling. The three most widely used methods of MMM fabrication are: multi-component; multi-shot and over-molding.This project aims to extend current state of the art manufacturing processes to enable a step change in productivity and competitiveness, resulting in a novel UK based manufacturing method using an injection process.Think Product Lab IP Holding Ltd are an established innovator of disruptive consumer products, with a number of filed patents, and an established core UK team. Since 2008 we have enjoyed success with a novel lint fluff catcher product, which has disrupted the existing lint category in over 30 countries.
