Project Title: Beran Instruments Integrated Machinery Health Monitoring System – Development of PrototypeProject Description:The projects objective is to develop an innovative new integrated Machinery Health Monitoring system for the Power Generation Industry. Uniquely the project will exploit the core technology generated from the current KTP and TSB: Nuclear R&D Feasibility Study “Intelligent Condition Monitoring for Civil Nuclear Structures” as part of a collaborative partnership between Beran and the University of Bristol (UoB).This Innovative ground-up product development will introduce new reconfigurable processing technologies to the market sector. Key benefits will include:• Distributed modular architecture• Safety-critical application• Powerful simultaneous data acquisition • Reduced system size and power consumption Integration of a Performance element, principally based around Prognostic tool development with the UoB will deliver a step change in system performance, benefiting the industry through plant optimisation, increased availability, reduced fuel consumption, waste and CO2 emissions.The project will provide additional skilled employment and job security for the rural Torridge community.
