Network Waste is one of the UK's fastest growing waste management companies. We are seeking support with applying further innovation to waste from paper production. Network Waste are committed to finding a more innovative and environmentally beneficial use of paper crumb. Following meetings with InCrops, part of the Adapt Low Carbon Group at the University of East Anglia, Network Waste has launched a project to find alternative uses for Paper Crumb. Initial meetings with InCrops have identified potentially interesting uses for the waste as feedstock for other applications, including construction materials or conversion into sugars for use in bulk or speciality chemicals production. These processes, unlike land spreading have potential to generate additional income and turn waste into a valuable resource, thereby contributing to the development of a UK circular (bio)economy.
