Cognitant is a health technology company on a mission to help people to take control of their health. We are addressing a global health problem: Misinformation and confusion about health and treatments. Poor medical health knowledge leads to sub-optimal use of medicines and treatments, poorer outcomes and higher overall costs.Our platform "Healthinote" provides avatar-led, interactive digital content to view on smartphones, iPads and VR headsets. Healthcare professionals can use the platform to recommend information to patients during or after a consultation (whether face to face or virtual). Our services empower the public and patients to manage their health and make better use of services, treatments and medications. We deliver visual information that is easy to understand for users of all ages and educational levels, and we have the opportunity to gather real-world evidence about patients' activities, symptoms and feedback in order to provide valuable insights to healthcare services and our clients about their products and patients' experiences.Our initial customers are pharmaceutical companies who need to provide information and services to support the effective use of medication, and we are already delivering programmes in the UK for 5 companies (2 of which are top 5 global pharmaceutical companies).Our 5-year plan is to build a global company delivering services across low, middle, and high-income countries to empower the public and patients to understand and manage their health and care and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare services.
