This project aims to provide state-of-the-art X-ray diffraction instrumentation in a shared research facility. X-ray diffraction is essential for many research programmes, and the facility would support research in chemical synthesis, materials chemistry and structural biology. Structure determinations makes it possible to understand the underlying molecular structure of complex chemical and biological systems in terms of the underlying molecular structure.
