MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis (MRC GIDA) Studentships

We are requesting funds for 3 x 4-year (1 year MRes + 3 year PhD) studentships. The MRes stream specifically enhances the research training of our PhD students. Studentship start dates will be staggered over Years 1 and 2, with the first cohort starting Oct-23, and the second in Oct-24, hence the end date of the application is Oct-28 to accommodate the duration of the studentships. All other costs are for 3 years only. MRes fees in Year 1 are higher than for PhD student Fees, reflected in the costs requested. All studentships will be held within the MRC Centre in the Department for Infectious Disease Epidemiology, School of Public Health. The nominated grant holder is Azra Ghani, MRC Centre Director. Centre PIs will provide supervision for the full duration of the Centre award and for the 6 months after the end of the main Centre award until the 2024 cohort has completed.
