Relativistic effects in cosmological structure formation

The coming decade in cosmology will see surveys of large-scale structure of unprecedented scale and depth, mapping the universe in great detail on the largest scales. Modelling the universe to the required precision requires corrections to the usual Newtonian and linear approximations usually used arriving from Einstein's general relativity. The modifications come both in how structure evolves, and in the way we observe and count galaxies. This project will investigate modifications to the galaxy 3-point correlation function and the bispectrum from general relativistic effects.
