英文摘要
Chemokines are proteins that play a critical role in cell migration (chemotaxis) in a range of human diseases including cancer. This project will focus on the chemical synthesis of specifically modified chemokines (e.g. nitrated, sulfated, fluorinated) with the aim of providing unique chemical-biology tools that can be used to develop a greater understanding of the biology of this important family of proteins. Key to this work will be the development of a novel combinatorial ligation approach which will be used to generate chemokine libraries in a rapid and efficient manner. The work will also look to develop the first CCL2 targeting PROTAC.
