Project description:The GlueX experiment at Jefferson Laboratory in Virginia has the goal of understanding Gluonic excitations, and shedding light on the nature of quark confinement and the strong force. The impact is widespread, since the ultimate aim is to have a full understanding of the nature of the strong interaction at the energy scale of the hadrons (protons and neutrons) the make up the matter around us.
