英文摘要
The research focuses on domestic violence and abuse (DVA) and the Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) process as experienced by children. The Childhood Bereavement Network and Winston's Wish estimate that in the UK around 'one child every day is bereaved of a parent or sibling through murder or manslaughter'. Published DHRs reflect the presence of children for around 12% of homicides, but children rarely contribute to the DHR process and are often 'silenced' by the process and their ongoing needs are frequently not addressed. With the goal of DHRs being the reduction of domestic killings and domestic violence as a whole, it is vital to gain from the informative and insightful voices of the children affected, and to research why their involvement in DHRs is not happening.
