Negotiating Recovery: practitioner and service user experiences of mental health care trajectories in Wales

To explore the ways in which practitioners and service users experience the system of secondarymental health care in the context of recovery based legislation and policy within Wales. Building on anational piece of work that looked at care and treatment planning quality across Wales (that theapplicant was part of), this work seeks to look at how practitioners and service users interact withand within the mental health care 'system' and how care is negotiated between them. The study willuse observation and dialogic approaches to explore factors that impact on recovery and caretrajectories and communication between different actors.
