Cultivating inclusive 'place-based' entrepreneurship support across the UK: Exploring the impact of the British Library's Business & Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC) national networkThe BIPC offers a unique research opportunity providing a 'lens' through which to study 'place-based' entrepreneurship policies. The aim is to explore the dynamics of what works and what doesn't in providing inclusive business support across the UK to drive local economic growth trajectories. The main research questions are:1.How and in what ways do the BIPCs operate in different places across the UK to inclusively engage beneficiaries? 2.Focusing on contrasting UK cases, what are the main barriers and challenges to engaging with the BIPC that beneficiaries encounter? 3. Focusing on contrasting UK cases, what is the impact of BIPC services on different beneficiaries and how do these influence entrepreneurship (or not) in these places? 4.What approaches work well (or not) in engaging beneficiaries and how can service delivery be improved and good practice be shared within the BIPC network, and more widely? 5.What new theoretical and policy insights emerge from the research about the role of place-based entrepreneurship policies?
