英文摘要
Perfumes are one of the key drivers of consumer delight for the FMCG industry. Currently, P&G spends a significant percentage of the formula cost in developing perfume technologies such as spray-on and starch encapsulated accords. Their abilities of providing the desired freshness were demonstrated at large scale whilst handling damp garments. To develop a more sustainable and environmentally friendly portfolio of products that are used worldwide, it is critical to develop a mechanistic understanding of the interactions between perfume and surfaces in contact, e.g. fabrics. This program will contribute to the understanding of the mechanisms and dynamics of perfume deposition/retention onto woven substrates (fabrics) during the wash by developing a miniaturized system to reproduced and evaluate the liquid/substrate interactions in the wash. The learnings could be incorporated in a dedicated deposition model for the future perfume technologies
