英文摘要
Mind-object identity is a physicalist, externalist theory of consciousness that holds that consciousness is physically identical with its object, and that all conscious experience is perception in one form or another - perception of an object, or set of objects, which it itself physically is. The present dissertation aims to investigate phenomena which are widely held to be distinct from object-perception, such as cognition of abstracta, self-consciousness, and emotion, and account for them within the framework of mind-object identity, thereby extending and developing the theory.
