Aim: Develop a commercially viable, field ready, sensor system for measurement of strain and temperature in an existing geosynthetic product either during manufacture or at the point-of- application.Objectives: 1.Develop and demonstrate a viable sensor-embedded geosynthetic where the sensing system is a core part of the geosynthetic which is embedded during the commercial manufacturing process.2.Deploy an instrumented geosynthetic system and analyse data to guide future design of reinforced soil structures.3.Monitor in-situ performance of reinforced soil walls through the use of embedded sensor arrays
