The study will use measurements from the 3 SWA sensors to undertake studies of the nature of the solar wind particle populations, their thermodynamic properties and variability. At first, the project will carry out case studies, determining the polytropic behavior of plasma species from the analysis of in-situ observations. Through the polytropic index we will characterize the dynamic mechanisms in specific solar wind structures. Moreover, statistical studies of the Solar Wind thermodynamic properties (polytropic behavior and its correlation with other plasma parameters) over the covered heliocentric distance will be supported from the available data. Those studies will reveal the evolution of the solar wind plasma within the inner heliosphere. The results will be compared with observations by various other missions (e..g, Wind, Helios, Parker Solar Probe).
