This is an Engineering focused project with research stretching across biomechanical and clinical research fields. The candidate should have strong engineering background with a first degree in e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomechanical engineering, computer sciences and/or related subjects. Experience and/or interest in programming, machine learning/AI is desirable.This project will integrate a wealth of highly relevant expertise to provide a multidisciplinary training opportunity for a graduate in the context of prosthetics and orthotic applications, helping to address the demands from P&O industries and academic research.Building upon existing wearable technologies, this project aims to develop a first of its kind system which can be worn directly by patients within the everyday home settings to provide real world motion and kinetic gait characteristics.
